The Vault

One of the privileges of inheriting a legacy of 116 years of veneer history, is that Briggs Veneers has a treasure chest of rare and wonderful natural veneers in their warehouse, many of which they no longer promote or sample to the mass market due to their rarity or because they can no longer source additional material sustainability or on a commercial scale.

I made it my mission to start digging into the secret stash and thinking up new ways to showcase these forgotten gems from a new perspective. The Collection became known as The Vault and the veneers included are rare, timeless and unique, particularly suited to bespoke furniture designs, artisan projects.

Most of the Vault stock material exists in flitch format, allowing designers to be creative and specify the assembly pattern of the material to create raw material that might have been perceived with a fresh new interpretation.
